Why choose online Chair Pilates classes with Rebecca?

  • “Do as much or as little as you wish”, no expectation or pressure - the beauty of a virtual chair Pilates class is that you can join in for as much (or as little) as you wish. You can go for loo breaks, stretch your legs or even be excused from the class without causing disruption!

  • Make it a part of your wellbeing approach, not just another ‘activity’ to sign up to

  • Weekly classes help to provide structure and routine

  • My classes are personal even though they are online based, I hope this comes through on my video and the way I teach making movement accessible for all

  • If you live in rural locations then access to classes may currently prove difficult to attend. My online offering of classes means you can access the session regardless of location

  • All you need is space to move and a comfortable chair

What will I need?

You will need a comfortable chair, preferably with a back and no arm rests with adequate spacing in your room to exercise and cushions/blankets as needed. Please make sure your space is well ventilated and you have access to water to stay hydrated throughout the session. Please take breaks as needed during the session and listen to how YOUR body feels

My background

  • I am qualified with Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates Matwork and YMCA Level 2 Award in Delivering Chair-Based Exercise to frail older adults. I also hold qualifications in Prenatal Pilates and Groovelates and have been practising Pilates since the age of 16 (I am now 30-something!)

Pilates is more than just the piece of paper and the number of practical/studying hours. I believe a teacher is someone who works closely with people because they truly care about a cause. I am aware there is an aging population who do not have regular access to a modified fitness class and therefore I have created online Pilates chair classes to reach as many people as possible. Seated exercise is a good way to keep fit and healthy whilst having the support and confidence moving from a chair

“I believe that movement should be accessible to all and is my driving force for delivering seated pilates. Chair Pilates is for every body.”
